These Three Guys Might Be Your New Doctor Who (Or Not)
Domhnall Gleeson, Daniel Kaluuya, and Dominic Cooper, come on down! (Or not.)
You like how I hedged my bets there? Yup, this is totally necessary when you’re dealing with wild speculation concerning a topic as hot as who is going to be the next Doctor who, now that Matt Smith has announced his retirement from the role.
According to a report by Starburst, lads Domhnall Gleeson, Daniel Kaluuya, and Dominic Cooper are up for the role, and are being considered the frontrunners.
Or not.
At this point, it’s just lots of speculation and unnamed sources reporting, which could be a janitor in the bowels of the BBC or Steven Moffat himself. Who knows, really.
The only thing we can be sure of is that the BBC will make the announcement themselves when they feel like it, or when they finally get their man. Or woman, as some are hoping.
Until then, here are the three lads whose names are being tossed about (Cooper, of course, is the most famous of the three names, and Gleeson is a rising actor, though I have never heard of Kaluuya):
