The Prettier Mara Sister Joins Transcendence

The trades have Kate Mara (of “Shooter” fame) joining the cast of Wally Pfister’s sci-fi “Transcendence”. With a title like that, it better be really good, don’t you think?
She joins a cast that already includes Johnny Depp, Paul Bettany and Rebecca Hall.
No word on what character Mara would play, but “Transcendence” has Depp playing one of two leading computer scientists working toward their goal of Technological Singularity, while a radical anti-technology organization fights to prevent them from creating a world where computers can transcend the abilities of the human brain.
Sounds like good stuff. I can see the trailer now. It will probably uber abstract and slick and epic looking.
The flick is set for 2014.
