Sawyer from Lost Has a Computer Chip in his Head in New Show Intelligence
Like “Chuck”, but super less nerdy.
The idea behind the new Josh Holloway show “Intelligence” seems to be, “Let’s take ‘Chuck’ and make the hero less of a geek!” So you end up with Josh Holloway from “Lost”, playing a former military badass/CIA guy who gets a chip implanted in his head that allows him to do crazy things like know everything and whatnot. Basically, “Chuck” but without the blockage.
Like most CBS shows, this one looks a bit too procedural, sort of like a one-man “CSI”. It co-stars the girl from “Once Upon a Time” Meghan Ory as a Secret Service agent. The world’s youngest Secret Service agent, apparently. Well at least she’s more convincing than that “Your Brain on Drugs” girl playing an FBI agent on that TNT show starring the guy from “Will and Grace”.
Speaking of “CSI”, Marg Helgenberger is also in this one, though she’s the “older woman” now. About a decade ago she would have totally have played the Secret Service agent, but I guess time flies.
