Ashton Kutcher’s The Butterfly Effect is Getting a Remake
Time travel gets tricky again.
If you don’t recall the 2004 movie “The Butterfly Effect” starring Ashton Kutcher as a young lad who discovers he can travel back in time and change the past just by thinking about it really, REALLY hard, then don’t worry, Hollywood is remaking it.
Eric Bress, who co-wrote and co-directed the original movie (which spawn two low-budget sequels, one starring the hot girl from “Smallville”), will pen the script for the remake.
The 2004 original was a hit for New Line, making $96 million from a $13 million budget. I guess you already knew it was a hit when I told you they made two sequels, right? Well, it was a modest hit, anyway, since both sequels went direct-to-DVD.
