Your First Official Look at Tony Stark in Iron Man 2

Hey, look, it’s Iron Man and he’s fighting the new supervillain Whiplash played by Mickey Rourke! Oh wait, no, he’s just sitting behind a desk sorta staring off into space there. Oh well, it’s still the first official pic from Jon Favreau’s superhero sequel “Iron Man 2″, and Robert Downey Jr. looks cool doing pretty much anything anyway. Hard to believe this guy was in jail sniffing cocaine off someone’s ass a few years ago, huh?

Robert Downey Jr. returns in the superhero sequel as Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. He’s joined by Mickey Rourke as a new villain name Whiplash, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow, and Don Cheadle, replacing Terrence Howard, who is still going around calling his firing from the franchise a mistake. Nope, he doesn’t sound bitter at all.

The sequel is once again directed by Jon Favreau, and is expected in theaters by May 7, 2010.
