Youngblood Movie Has a Director
Sci-Fi Movie News, Youngblood (2010) Movie — By Basil Murad on May 13, 2009I honestly thought it would never see the light of day. A Youngblood movie? Sure there was talk about it in the early days (the 90s) when Rob Liefeld was practically a rock star but things have changed since then. Mr. Liefeld’s talents are no longer in as high demand as they once were. In fact many believe that he has no talent, but that’s another issue altogether. However, comic book movies are a heck of a lot more popular than they were way back when (the 90s) and so there’s a good chance we’ll be seeing Shaft, Chapel, Badrock(?) and the rest of the gang blasting into theaters sometime next year. Or the year after. Who knows…
So guess who gets to direct this thing? According to MTV.com, Brett Ratner (Rush Hour 1, 2, and 3, X-Men Last Stand) is the lucky guy. I suppose that’s a prudent choice. Mr. Ratner is as competent as the next young ‘gun for hire’ director for this type of project. In any case, this whole thing is still in its fledgling infancy so it may still be too early to speculate if it’ll actually be made. I’d see it though, can’t be any worse than X-Men Origins: Wolverine…

Derivative and Unoriginal? Who said that?!?
