Well, it’s kind of too late now, but if I had known that NBC’s new TV show “The Event” was about aliens, I would have started covering it months ago. Alas, I didn’t know, and just stumbled across the most recent episode last night as it began, and the show’s Barack Obama wannabe was being told that aliens had crash landed in Alaska during World War II.

Right now, I’m not sure if I should catch up to the show and start following it, since aliens are definitely our thing over here. Then again, the show is already in full swing, and we haven’t bothered reporting on it since Day One, and I just hate playing catch-up.

I blame it all on NBC for being way too clever for their own good. I don’t think I know a single sci-fi blog that has picked up “The Event” as being a sci-fi show with aliens, and have seen very little coverage of it on the usual sites.

I guess we’ll cover the big stuff about the show, but probably not keep up-to-date. Catch “The Event” on NBC on Mondays.

Here’s an extended 4-minute preview of the show. Just replace all that “mystery” with the fact that they’re talking about aliens that look human, led by that creepy chick with the creepy smile from “ER”:
