Will Alien Get A Much Deserved Reboot?

Both the Predator and Alien franchises have gotten some rough treatment lately. Everything since Alien 4 has been of dubious quality. This angers me. You can say with confidence that both these beasties lurk at the pinnacle of our Sci-Fi monster movie pantheon. We’ve reported on a rumour previously that Ridley Scott was mulling over another “Alien” movie but this time the Force is stronger young Jedis. Bloody Disgusting has a source that says Ridley and Tony Scott want to go back to the roots of what made Alien great and do an origin story. One Alien on a starship, newly hatched, just looking for something to love. It’s a feel good kind of story. Carl Rinsch, who does some work for Tony will be behind the camera and 20th Century Fox will do the money thing. Now this is just a rumour of course, so don’t get all hot and bothered just yet. It has a good feeling though.
