Warner Bros. is Hiding in Time with Adaptation
Hiding in Time (2009) Movie, Sci-Fi Movie News — By Nix on July 2, 2008 |
Not a day goes by that we don’t hear about another comic book property being optioned by a producer or production company to turn into a movie. Most of these never come to fruition. But when Warner Bros. takes a liking to your comic, and puts a writer on adapting it, yeah, it’s a pretty good chance that your movie is going to get made. The WB’s latest comic book purchase is the sci-fi actioner “Hiding in Time”, which has a pretty nifty premise, and not usually one you find in comic books.
THR has more:
The story is set in a not-too-distant future in which the Witness Protection Program uses time travel to relocate high-value witnesses into the past for safe keeping. When the program is compromised, a government scientist must travel back through the greatest moments in history to help a master thief rescue his old crew from the assassins sent back by their former employer.
The comic series from Shadowline ran for three issues, and was written by Christopher Long and drawn by Ryan Winn. The cover of the first issue below.
