Oh, that rascal Lex Luthor. One day he’s CEO of his own diabolical corporation and the next he’s President of the United States. Then he goes and frames Superman for some impending disaster, and somehow Batman gets involved, as does everyone else in the D.C. universe. That’s the plot of “Superman/Batman: Public Enemies” in a nutshell, which will be based on a story by comic scribe Jeph Loeb.
“Superman/Batman” is the latest movie in D.C.’s line of direct-to-DVD animated movies, following in the footsteps of “Green Lantern: First Flight”, “Wonder Woman”, and in my opinion, the best of the bunch, “Justice League: Final Frontier”.
“Superman/Batman” is due out on DVD September 29, 2009, and will feature the voice talents of Jerry O’Connell, John C. McGinley, Allison Mack, Kevin Conroy, Clancy Brown, CCH Pounder, Robert Patrick, Michael Dorn, Tim Daly, LeVar Burton, Ricardo Chavira, Thomas F. Wilson. Sam Liu directs.
