ABC’s “V” has seen it’s share of turmoil and strife. It’s been put on creative hiatus and been reduced to a mini series with a possible series expansion next year. ABC perhaps has some renewed confidence in the show, because they are about to promote V in a very unusual way.

ABC is going to be dropping a big red letter V into the skies over major landmarks in New York City, a place chock full of folks that don’t speak English or speak English and not Sci-Fi English. New York has had it’s share of scary so ABC is trying to get the word out that it’s just for giggles and that human enslaving, chewing, tossing, lizard people from the sandy planet of the unfriendly geckos are not going to drop in and cure our diseases while simultaneously plumping us up for their version of Thanksgiving. I’m highly doubtful that many will receive the message. New Yorkers however are tough and I’m sure will take the coming invasion in stride. Everyone is welcome in the Big Apple.
