USA Network Picks Up World War II Alien Show Horizon
From the network that gave you “The 4400″. (Which I’ve never seen.)
Cable net USA Network has picked up a new sci-fi drama set during World War II called “Horizon” from producer Gale Anne Hurd, one of the producers on AMC’s “The Walking Dead”, and a longtime vet of the genre, with her producing fingers in the likes of “Aliens”, “The Abyss” and the “Terminator” films, among many.
“Horizon” is from writer Bridget Tyler:
Set during the height of World War II, Horizon centers on a secretary at the FBI who discovers that her husband might have been killed in a battle with a spaceship in the South Pacific. Obsessed with learning the truth, she becomes the only person standing between Earth and an alien invasion.
Well, that’s going to be expensive. Especially for a cable network. I wonder why they don’t just make it present-day?
“Horizon” is currently casting.
