For some reason, I was never to really get into The 4400. I don’t know why, because the whole premise should really appeal to me — 4400 people, abducted from different timelines, suddenly all return to the present with superpowers. I mean, that’s a great premise! But alas, I never got into it, and now news comes that the show has been cancelled by the USA Network.

A message board post on “The 4400′s” official boards presumably from show creator Scott Peters says that while he’s sad about the cancellation, at least the show was able to go out with “a bang.”
“We’ve had a great time bringing you this story and submersing you in the lives of all these incredible characters,” Peters said in the post. “Let me raise my metaphorical glass to you all and thank you for being so loyal and so dedicated. I wish we could go on forever, but the party has come to an end.”
Sorry, 4400 fans.
The Dead Zone, on the other hand, I’ve watched on and off, and really liked. But like The 4400, I wasn’t really a loyal fan and didn’t tune in week after week. I would watch it if I caught it while channel surfing, but that was it. It, too, has been cancelled according to TV Guide.
