Transformers 4 Will Take Place 4 Years After Dark of the Moon

Four years later: Kablooey! Kaboom!

According to Michael Bay, who should know, the upcoming 2014-set “Transformers 4″ with Mark Wahlberg in the lead will find the storyline taking place 4 years after the events of “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”.

Says the Bayster:

The movie is going to continue four years from the attack on Chicago, which was in the last movie. It’s going to have the same lineage, but it’s going in a full new direction. It actually feels very natural how it’s going in that direction… We’re doing a lot of things that are really going to make it fresh and feel new.

Beyond that, there is no word on what else part 4 will be about. Rumor has the fourth installment going into outer space, though. Which would be ironic, since the franchise has always been about alien robots from outer space, though we’ve never actually gone into outer space for any period of time.

I know Wahlberg is now the new star, but that doesn’t mean we can’t bring Rosie Huntington-Whiteley back. Right?

Actually I’m for this! I think they need to have a quick recap of what’s been going on but that’s it..Also like in Transformers 3 they should be working with a UN type group taking out terrorists that have allied with Decepticons in hiding.
