A couple of “Transformers 3″ news for ya today, plus one exclusive clip from the upcoming “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” DVD release. After a lot of back and forth, Michael Bay has announced that “Transformers 3″ will be going into production soon for a July 2011 release, and that yes, Megan Fox will indeed be back.
Bay wrote this on his official message board:
Well its official: We have a great Transformers 3 story. The release date is now July 1st 2011. Not 2012.
Today is Day One. This morning started with an ILM meeting for five hours in San Francisco. Currently I’m flying with writer Ehren Kruger to Rhode Island to talk to Hasbro about new characters.
P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you.
Pain and Gain is right after shooting of Trans 3.
Michael
So there you have it. TF3 is set for 2011, and Megan Fox, despite some very public insults traded between her and director Michael Bay and everyone else in-between, will indeed return for the sequel. It’s the smart move by Fox — “Transformers” can survive without her, but her career may not be able to survive without the franchise.
Also, we have an exclusive clip from the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release of “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, which is hitting store shelves everywhere October 20, 2009. Check out their Facebook page here. Also, want to look like a robot? Head over here to find out how.
