TNT Renews Falling Skies for a Third Season
Nix July 11, 2012After only a few episodes into its second season, the alien invasion show “Falling Skies” has already gotten a major thumbs up from its cable network TNT, who have officially renewed the show for a third season. The show has been a ratings winner for the network, and has apparently really taken off with its launch overseas.
I’m glad for “Falling Skies”, and maybe the promise of another 10-episode third season will mean it has further room for improvement. I’d like to tell you that I’ve been keeping a close eye on the show, but frankly, I haven’t. It pains me that I don’t like the show more than I should. I mean, it’s got everything I like in a sci-fi show — actual sci-fi stuff, aliens, an invasion, and scrappy humans. But man, I have all the shows DVR, but I have yet to make it through the third episode…
One of these days, I’ll catch up. Probably.
In the meantime, expect a grand announcement when the cast and crew — including Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, and Will Patton — show up at Comic Con tomorrow for a panel.
