“Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief” is the latest in a long line of big budgeted teen-centric fantasy movies vying for the title of “the next ‘Harry Potter’ franchise”. I’m not sure if “Percy Jackson” will make it, but here are three new images from the movie that probably won’t convince you either way. The film stars Uma Thurman, Logan Lerman, Rosario Dawson, Pierce Brosnan, Sean Bean, Kevin McKidd, Catherine Keener, and Alexandra Daddario.
A young boy discovers he’s the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods. Based on the book by Rick Riordan.
Chris Columbus directs the film, scheduled to strike February 12, 2010.
