Three District 9 Viral Videos

Three viral videos for the Peter Jackson-produced “District 9″, opening August 14, 2009. The movie stars William Allen Young, Jason Cope, Sharlto Copley, and is directed by Neill Blomkamp. The first viral video is a commercial for the movie’s faux omnipresent MNU corporation, which has “slimy” and “evil” written all over their human-friendly face; the second and third is a series of man-on-the-street interviews with people about the aliens. It’s all very silly, these viral marketing gimmick, but there you have them. I just hope the movie itself lives up to the hype, or at the very least, isn’t a total letdown. I hate it when the marketing is better than the movie.
