This Very Hot Model Might be Joining The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Yes, this is actual news, because the woman above (and below), Swiss-Greek model Zoe Aggeliki, is said to be the frontrunner for is a pivotal character in the sequel and even sticks around for the third movie. Plus, she’s very attractive, and this is a perfect excuse to post a picture of a very attractive model.

Deadline says Zoe Aggeliki is in line to play Johanna Mason in the upcoming sequel by Francis Lawrence (of “I am Legend” fame (or infamy, depending on your perspective)). She apparently beat out all the other girls in competition, including “Sucker Punch’s” Jena Malone for the gig. It’s not official yet, but it’s kinda official. When Deadline says you’re the frontrunner, you basically already have the job, and now just need for the contracts to get typed up.

Aggeliki would play Mason, “an ax-welding, deceptive and ruthless winner of a previous Hunger Games”. I would say Katniss better not cross her, but as it turns out, she might end up being Katniss’ best friend in the Games. For those who haven’t done their due diligence and read the book, “Catching Fire” finds Katniss and Peeta once again forced to fight in the Hunger Games, despite having won/survived the previous one. The Capitol are such tools, am I right?

Aggeliki is new to the acting game, but she does have roles in the Ryan Reynolds action/comedy “RIPD” and the “Percy Jackson” sequel on her resume.

Meh… I’d rather see Jena Malone get it. This Zoe chick just looks like another model… pretty, but not all that interesting. And she’s almost entirely unproven as an actress.
