The Game: Trailer in Italian, Still With Gerald Butler

Gunfire translates into any language, as does incoherent screaming. Gerald Butler’s Scottish action cred also seems to shine through amid the smashing and bashing and general mayhem.

We have for you, via the kind folks at Quiet Earth, the first trailer I’ve seen of “The Game”, a cyberpunk actioner starring Gerard Butler, Michael C. Hall, Alison Lohman, and John Leguizamo. What’s it about? Well, I’m glad you asked!

Set in a future-world where humans can control other humans in mass-scale, multi-player online gaming environments, a star player (Gerard Butler) from a game called “Slayers” looks to regain his independence while taking down the game’s mastermind.

As Quiet Earth has also mentioned, the Italians like their trailers spicy with extra macho, so I’m betting we will see a different sort of cut for the English trailer. I’ve been a big fan of Gerald’s ever since Beowulf. Might even get my wife to come see this one (she thinks he’s cute).
