Though I did find the movie watchable, I really did NOT like the kid and how they wrote around his character. Antagonistic little brat needed a heavy hand on the ass is what I thought. It did nothing for the story line.

And uh....this movie did not strike me as a global warming slant. It struck me as more about environmentalism period. And yes, on the whole, we are killing this planet. Many animal species being hunted to extinction, their habitats all shrinking, placer and strip and pit mining, over fishing just to name a few direct things. Overpopulation will also become a problem in a big way as our ability to feed the planet slowely dwindles away. Polution is NOT our main hurdle to face, and it is not even mentioned in the movie.

And some of the action sequences were over the top. Not as horribly bad as that last Indiana Jones movie (really damn bad movie...take the action out, you got 30 minutes of story...that sucks lemon Mr Speilburg, WTF were you thinking?)
