Okay, so I could probably do without an eighth season of Smallville. And in fact, everyone was expecting Season 7 to be the end. But seriously, how long can Clark Kent justify spending all this time on the farm, while there are wars and terrorists and what have you running around that his powers could sure be pretty decent against? But I digress. The CW has announced today that they have renewed Smallville for an eighth season, and at the same time, renewed Supernatural for a fourth season.
More of Supernatural I can get behind, but even that show, I think, is starting to wind down. Although to be sure, I am DYING to find out how they’re going to keep Dean from going to hell. Should be fun.
But Smallville — eh, I don’t know, it sort of stopped being cool after Clark graduated high school and unfathomably still stayed at the farm, while the producers kept writing in different people into the show, including Lois Lane. Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense.
Anyhoo. They’re back for another year. Rejoice, Smallville and Supernatural fans.
