Teresa Palmer is Not a Cylon, but she is a Number Six

Looks like the Michael Bay-produced “I am Number Four” is really picking up steam. With the film scheduled for next year, casting is well underway for the teen-centric sci-fi actioner. The latest involves Aussie hottie Teresa Palmer joining the film as Number Six.

The film already added British actor Alex Pettyfer as the titular Number Four, while “District 9′s” Sharlto Copley will play the main character’s guardian and mentor. In the film, Palmer’s Number Six and Pettyfer’s Number Four are part of nine aliens that have survived the annihilation of their planet by enemy hands. The aliens seek refuge on Earth, where they masquerade as teenagers in high school. I could think of a lot of other disguises to go with, and high school would be waaaaaaaaay at the bottom of the list. But hey, I’m not a fugitive alien, so what do I know. In any case, things get complicated when their alien nemesis pursues them to Earth.

D.J. Caruso (“Eagle Eye”) will direct the film for DreamWorks, with Michael Bay producing. The movie will be based on a series of upcoming young adult novels by James Frey and Jobie Hughes. Yes, that James Frey.

The very lovely Teresa Palmer made her Hollywood debut in the Adam Sandler movie “Bedtime Stories”, and can next be seen in “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” with Nicolas Cage. And oh yeah, she’s also got a little something called “Mad Max: Fury Road” on her plate, too.
