Well, "Sam" I saw the movie, and all it was was just a preachy global warming message. Like the Happening. Fail.

Talking about early and unfair judgement! I can't believe in some of the stupid things so called movie fans can throw away to the readers as if they were stating a fact. First, the so called "script review" from AICN is what it is: a very early review from a very early draft of the script. That review said there was no Gort. But some people found on the web a sketch of a possible Gort made by designer Lorin Wood who is part of the concept design team. Second, Keanu himself said there is a Gort AND enviromental message is on the movie, not that is the basic premise of the movie. But, it seems, some have comprehension problems.

Another thing, the december date was always there. If you don't know the movie was slated for this summer, but then postponed because it would not be ready by mid year. It is not rushed, on the contrary. It was NEVER said this thing would be released in 2009. And that banner is a TEASER poster... but, for you guys, those details really doesn't count. let's be real, real info can't be as fun to prick around as speculations and hating geek rants, isn't it?

And who are the people expecting Keanu Reeves to emote in the movie? Please, don't come with the whole Michael Rennie thing because he only emoted more than Gort in the original, and by a very small margin! Klaatu is an alien! He isn't supposed to be all emotive and I really HOPE Reeves can do better than Rennie, who almost had NO facial expression in the whole movie. But, of course, as the inexpressive Reeves is cast in a perfect role suited for the talent guys like you credit to him, you all seem to be in a difficult situation and start to give Rennie and the character much more props than it really deserves! Holy hypocrisy...
