Ok i have to agree and disagree with some of the comments made here yes SGU Season 1 was slow and the characters where almost as deep as a piece of paper but at the end of the season 1 it started getting good with good storylines and character developments i have not long finished watching SGU season 2 and it was good no it was great they have the basic back story now and have found out how to control the ship, what its mission is and had several new bad guys to battle. i really like this series and hope they do make SGU season 3. Also i agree if you dont like it then dont watch it its not like your being forced to. Now the bad part yes i’ve watched Sanctuary and it has its good points not many but a few my big problem is the CGI im sorry but if your spending that much time and effert on making it look that bad why do it. I mean when they run or walk throw a room it should blend in with the rest of the set not stand out like a smiley face painted on the moon and the CGI monsters ive seen better in some cheep second rate sifi films ive bought. Please if you do know if there is talk of a SGU Season 3 please reply to this post and let me know.

Stargate Universe In my opinion was the best show behind Battlestar Galactica to ever be aired on scifi. It was absolutley Magnificent. Carprica was in the same boat. The Only thing that makes SGU different from SG1 & SGA was that it was a soap opera. There was a story line. A greater path, message if you will. No stargate fan that hadnt seen at least the first half of season one of SGU could just pick up season 2 and start watching. THAT WAS ITS DOWNFALL. other than that, my favorite show ever. SG1 Became too much like Sliders, or Quantum leap, Or Earth2, or Star trek. sure SG1 could go for 10 years because there was a different planet and a different dilemma every episode, but it all begins to feel like crap after you watch enough. The Only real story lines SG1 produced were in its Season premiers & Season Finales plus the occasional movie here and there. BTW the Movie Stargate WAS GREAT, they just dropped and created so much lore about the whole world of stargate that it got out there, THATS WHY SGU tied it up NICELY. CHEERS SGU. TO THE BEST WRITING & CASTING A STARGATE SHOW EVER HAD.

i think your right al those people who are complaining about show and whant is canceld are yust a bunge of fools if you dont like it dont watch it thats my opinion and dont try to ruen the fun of other people

Thankfully, SGU has been cancelled.

SGU’s failure, in my opinion was due to the fact that the pilot wasn’t screened to mature stargate fans. You know, the fans that have money, not the teens that can’t decide on buying food, spending on the cable bill, or a stargate dvd. If the pilot had been screened properly, then SGU would have seen a complete re-write before airing.

The lesson learned in this expensive mistake called SGU, is that you can’t change an Sci-Fi, Action-Adventure brand like Stargate into something that fans can’t recognize. I hope this is a lesson learned to producers, directors, executives and writters. Just because some producer says something will work, doesn’t mean that it will.

Please, next time, use a focus group of brand fans, and one of non-fans. Make sure that the existing fans like your changes, and THEN see if the non-fans will be reeled-in by your new changes.

It falls under the technical term: DUH!

Unfortunately, Stargate fandom had to pay the price of this inproperly planned and researched series.

My reason for watching this show is simply because; from the beginning the crew had no control of their destiny. Bit by bit they scratch away at the surface revealing new technology while still just managing to somewhat survive every ordeal. The actors in this series are set and Im okay with that.. I can’t really see anyone else playing a better “Dr. Young” to be honest. It so good watching a show every week that isn’t too predictable as the other SG’s became near their end.

Any one who thinks atlantis is better then sgu is ff–in crazy seen it and sgu rocks so diffrent mixed with tons of stuff i love the ship and hated atlantis beacuse they had so many boring episodes that were just fillers sgu there is always something cool going on

SGU is the best of the stargate shows, and I’ve seen every episode of every one of them. Past SG shows really had some terrible acting (especially that annoying girl from atlantis). And I could do without the overly forced jokes/humor. SGU is darker, which is cool I think, and has the best acting of the series by far. Its a cool show, and anyone who doesn’t think so is an idiot who is too slow to appreciate deeper story lines and thickening plots. If you want constant flashy space battles then watch star wars.

SGU is awesome and I love all three SG series – I think they’ve gotten better as they’ve gone along, Sg-1 was good but SGA was far far far better then SG-1 and I actually think that SGU is a tiny bit better than SGA :D – Oh and whoever ‘HATEFUL’ is, you just sound like an immature fool, and try turning your caps lock off :)
