Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games In The Movie PipeLine

hunger1Although billed as a young adult book, Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, sounds like and frankly reads like, a plenty grownup story to me. Coming soon from Nina Jacobson and her company Color Force.

Hailed by Stephen King, it tells the story of a competition in a dystopian world where geographical regions must send representitives to fight to the death. This is all televised of course in the gladiator/running man format. I’m not sure that’s kids stuff.

Further to this rant, I finished Neil Gaimen’s Graveyard Book recently (loved it). The Graveyard Book was sold in the kids section at my local giant bookstore warehouse. I don’t think the Graveyard book is even remotely for kids. Anyway, that’s my rant for today. Via BloodyDisgusting.

Well I’m 15 and yes, the story line is a little .. brutal, but the book’s not descriptive when the deaths actually happen! For godness sake! I think Twilight is more suited to an older audience than ‘The Hunger Games’. Especially the last two books.rnrn Come on, endymi0n. You obviously didn’t read books as an early teen, if you did you would understand that this book is fine. If you want to complain about something, go complain about the price of petrol, or women’s rights, or animal cruelty !! … Just leave our books alone!!rnThanks.
