Surrogates is Based on Real Life. Mostly. Well, Kinda.

Here’s a quick behind-the-scenes look at Jonathan Mostow’s sci-fi actioner “Surrogates”, which talks about the science and tech behind the movie’s concept of surrogates. Apparently it’s all based on real science, though instead of looking like Bruce Willis or Rosamund Pike, the best you can hope for at the moment is looking like a skinny robot with your face plastered on a video. But hey, at least it won’t try to kill you, which is always a good thing.

Set in a futuristic world where humans live in isolation and interact through surrogate robots, a cop (Willis) is forced to leave his home for the first time in years in order to investigate the murders of others’ surrogates.

Starring Bruce Willis, Rosamund Pike, Ving Rhames, Radha Mitchell, James Cromwell, Michael Cudlitz, Meta Golding, Boris Kodjoe, and directed by Jonathan Mostow.
