Supernatural: Katie Cassidy and Lauren Cohen Exorcised for Season 4
Sci-Fi TV News, Supernatural TV Series — By Nix on June 25, 2008
It looks like the WB’s Supernatural (aka the only show on that entire channel worth watching) is losing its two new babes. According to TV Guide, and confirmed by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke, both Katie Cassidy and Lauren Cohen, who were both introduced this year to add the babe factor to the show, have been exorcised. Cohen’s Bela character, of course, was dragged to hell (offscreen), and unlike Dean Winchester (also seen in Hell at the end of Season 3), she won’t be coming back. Meanwhile, Cassidy’s Ruby character was killed (also offscreen) by the evil Lilith demon, and a resurrection is not in the working, as Eric Kripke confirms. But don’t cry for her, Cassidy is already at work on a new Chris Carter (of “X-Files” fame) movie.
I instantly dug Cohen’s Bela, but mostly because bad girls just does it for me. It took a while for me to warm up to Ruby, but by the end of Season 3, I was halfway there. It was fun watching her and Dean go back and forth in every episode.
So, in honor of those two women, where are some pictures of them. (And yes, I know Supernatural isn’t really sci-fi, but I love this show, and it just doesn’t fit anywhere else right now.) It was fun while it lasted, ladies. (In case you don’t watch the show, Cassidy is the blonde, Cohen the brunette.)

damn it!
I was soo hoping that Ruby would be returning for the next season.
cause technically she wasn’t dead, Lilith just ’sent her far away’
aahh well..
They better introduce more hot demon chicks on the next one. lol.
^^
thatz bullshit bout katie cassidy cause in tv guide the writer says that katie cassidy WILL be back in season 4 she’ll probally be the 1
to help dean out of hell and the writer also said in tv giude that he likes ruby so if you don’t like her tough…..
Its true that the writer said she would be back, but that was at the end of the last season. However the most recent interview from him says she wont be back due to financial difficulties, as basically the CW isnt investing in the show properly. I really liked Ruby’s charecter and im a bit pissed that she wont be about in season 4. I think a campaign is in order!
“…Due to financial difficulties, as basically the CW isnt investing in the show properly.”
The reason why they’re *still* stuck in fifth place in the ratings, despite having some much liked, closely followed shows.
The show’s current timeslot (opposite Grey’s Anatomy, The Office, 30 Rock and CSI: Ad Nauseum) doesn’t help much, either.
I actually started watching “Supernatural” because Lauren’s character was so much fun to watch. Shame that she was dropped because of network mismanagement.
Oh well, back to reruns of Bugs Bunny & Tweety on cable.
