Steven Spielberg may return to his Jurassic period soon if he climbs on board Fox’s Terra Nova, a series I described as The Jetsons Meet The Dinosaurs. A family in the future travels back in time to prehistoric Earth where they face serious family bonding challenges created from running away from things with teeth bigger than Junior. Sister Sally’s raygun isn’t going to be much good I’m afraid.
Variety is reporting that because of the price of the sets for this very interesting series, Terra Nova is going straight to series level instead of getting just a pilot. I’m confident that Steven knows his Sci-Fi and let’s face it, after “Avatar” the Fox family is seeing green. The script was written by Craig Silverstein and Kelly Marcel.
