well its a B-movie, but then its meant to be,
and as its a satire on war and fascist all controlling governments its hard to watch it and compare it to other sci-fi movies.

The movie itself is a fairly decent flick if you just sit back and watch it with an open mind.

The actors and effects are decent enough to carry the film, as to the story … its pretty much a continuation of the first movie with lots of parallels to WW2 and the eastern front, plus some newer ‘vietnam war protest’ flavouring thrown in.

its worth a watch,

Really nice and entertaining movie – war regime satire at its best (not a masterpiece, but still worth watching a couple of times)!!! I really feel sorry for those narrow-minded individuals who (1) scream in unison with the crowd without even bothering to think on their own, (2) can’t tell a difference between a satire and a normal Sch-Fi movie. Such people ALWAYS first hear what others say and then simply repeat what the crowd says. Scared to use your own brain and be perceived as outsiders? :) I’ve met too many people in my life who simply judge everything in terms of “good-bad”, “black-white”. In fact, everything is GREY in this life, and “Starship troopers 3″ is not the darkest grey possible. I totally agree with Fei – the song “It’s a good day to die” is outstanding! :))

Okay…just saw the movie…the movie itself was actually a pretty “good” surprise (as compared to the sh*t of Starship Troopers 2: Heroes of the Federation. But indeed this sequel was nowhere as good as the 1st movie. One particular thing that really made my day regarding this film was the song: “it’s a good day to die” (youtube it :)

This movie is a real shame. The visual effects are terrible, the acting even worst and the story…well, even a 5 year old kid could write a better one. The first Starship Troopers released in 1997 was really good but the following sequel and this one both really sucks. Even if this one had more budget than the second movie it’s still very very bad. Don’t even rent it…you’ll save a precious 5$…and for god’s sake please don’t buy it because even your Grandma would laugh at you.

On a final note; this movie is worst than bad sex and should be avoided at all cost.
