StarGate Universe To Feature Two Lesbian Characters
Sci-Fi TV News — By endymi0n on April 21, 2009Ming-Na, a series regular on the upcoming “Stargate: Universe” will be one of two openly gay characters on the show, with perhaps more on the way.
A quote from a creator.
“This goes towards our goal to make the characters on Universe as complex and complicated and realistic and identifiable as we can, to as many people as we can,” Cooper said. “And that’s not just a desire for ratings. That’s the desire to portray humanity and make a show that is saying something about who we are.”

WHY??????? That just totally ruined it for ME! WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE THINKING? One of the appeals of the other Stargates is the ability to sit and watch it with my children. This completely angers me!
dumb asses
so you are saying that any show featuring anyone who is not completely identical to yourself is offensive and inappropriate for your children? Better not let them out of the house then, they might 'catch the gay'. Get out of the 80's ok? There is nothing the slightest bit wrong with being gay. The fact that a show that is suppose to be a representation of real life but in a fictional setting should show somethign that EXISTS IN OUR EVERY DAY LIVES shouldn't offend you. It should make you feel proud that mainstream media and entertainment is finally catching up (slowly) to how things are in the world.
I cant believe this! Thier are less black in scifi that make up 13% of the population and 14% latino and you dont see use in SCi FI in those number and what 4% gay or bi-sexual, Yeah token and wrong! I had my daughter DDR it but, guest where not going to watch it. make that one less viewer.
