Stargate: Universe Second Half Promo Reveals Space Battles, Aliens, and Michael Shanks

Space battles? Honest to goodness aliens? Michael Shanks in an extended cameo on the ship? That seems to be where the second half of “Stargate: Universe’s” first season is headed. And yes, I’m afraid the ship is still very dark and moody, the camera is still very shaky, people are still shagging in corridors, and everyone is still very conflict-y. So if those were things you didn’t dig about Season 1′s first half, I’m afraid that isn’t going to change anytime soon. So basically, deal with it and tune in, or go watch something else and stop yer bitchin’.

Here’s the first promo for the second half of “Stargate: Universe’s” Season 1, returning to airwaves Friday, April 2nd, 2010.

Big mistake there Nix, never tell a viewer, reader to go away. If we are still here bitching then at least we are paying attention. Plus, if we had not been bitching would these future changes be in the work? I do look forward to the possibility the show will become more entertaining then your recaps. But till then, thanks to you, I do not have to torture myself and actually watch the show.

I think you’re going to have a long wait. The ratings are good (or decent), and this is the direction SyFy wants to go, so I honestly don’t see the show going back to its roots ala “SG1″ or “Atlantis”. If the promo shows anything, it’s more of the same, just with a space battle or two toss in because they probably couldn’t help themselves, even BSG, for all its soap opera, had plenty of space battles, after all.
