Except that I figured out they were sick from the ice water when they showed the ice planet in the ‘previously’. Time travel took a bit longer to figure out, as I rather was hoping for somehting more along the lines of Eli’s alternate reality theory, but I still figured it was a solar flare/time travel before they did.

It was one of the better episodes so far, but they went a bit far into the horror genre for my tastes, and Chloe dying multiple times was a bit annoying. (I predicted correctly they would have to send another message back in time as soon as Chloe died the second time, but I was almost hopeful they would keep it – it would have been a huge shocker! A bit like Tasha Yar being killed, which was phenomenal in its effect (althoguh I’m not really attatched to Chloe) – but it would have driven home that out in space, do-evers are a one in a trillion chance, and that it’s REALLY deadly, not just where the writers want it to be.

The doctor stepped out of her whining to show some good character development though, I liked her in this episode, she might just grow on me, and has solidified her spot as my favorite female character.

There is a webisode ‘another kind of crazy’ where Scott and Eli chat about how they find the two Kino’s on the planet and the doctor is working on medicine (very boring, and exactly how I figured it would turn out if it had continued..), which attemts to wrape the plotline up.

It seems a bit of a cop-out though, like writing the climax of a book and just ending it because you can’t finish the story. That might happen in an art-film, but a sci-fi? I like my books to have all their pages. (Although, had they made a dramatic follow up episode, that might have been a great ending for a part one cliffhanger.)

My God! Another crappy episode! Incoherent story line, bad character interaction, bad camera work how much more garbage are they going to throw at Stargate fans before they throw in the towel?
I was really hoping they really killed off the cast and replaced them with better ones.
I read a comments that states that they like this show because it’s for adult.
What the hell is so adult of about this crappy show? And what’s this fascination with dark, gloomy scenes anyway? I’m getting depressed watching how dark everything is. The actors are so bad that they exudes complete apathy! Very dark with no humor or any kind or thought provoking story line. Terrible!!! Pull the show and air SG and SGA from the beginning. They probably get more viewers than this load of crap!

I never watched sg-1 while it was being produced other then the odd episode.I enjoyed atlantis and went back and downloaded the entire sg-1 series.After giving it a chance I find myself really enjoying it. So far i havent found a lot to like in sgu. I seriously doubt it will reach season 3.

I have to say this episode was awesome! Although generally I’ve enjoyed most of the episodes really and its miles better than SG-1, which to me just seemed to go through the motions every week. Rush’s Skull FTW!!!! Someone should do a Rush Skill group on Facebook! :P LOL

This episode did remind me a little bit of Predator and Alien (before it went downhill after Aliens!), which is a rarity in Science-Fiction TV. I just hope there are more gems like this in the rest of the season, fingers crossed!! I watch it in the UK and its pretty much the best Sci-Fi show on at the moment.

My wife and I really like this show and how things are moving along… we were left wanting for some Friday night SciFi after BSG was over.. and this is filling the gap quite nicely (as neither of us were huge SG1 fans). One thing that I really like is how Col. Young and Telford absolutely hate each other, and you don’t really know what history is there but you can tell its deep… and I was just waiting for the part where Young realizes Telford is sleeping with his wife.. mmmm personal drama from a million light years away :-) … though I do think the Chloe/Eli/Scott triangle is a bit trite especially after the “Earth” episode.

Oh that triangle has to end, its getting lame so lame. And what about the girl he was doing at the begining, she is on the ship also, what happen with that, some parts of the show just seem off.

So far I’ve enjoyed SGU, it’s a nice break from the bubblegum whiz bang sci fi we have has so much of. In particular, I like how we were not hand-held through the end, it was rather more implied than show.

I too loved “Time”. I actually didn’t see the teaser for “Time” so I was surprised up until I saw Chloe die the first time around.

It was an amazing episode and for a minute there, right after Chloe died a second time where I thought Eli was going to rush to the planet and do what Scott did in the end.

The ending was pure genius (@Yam). I loved it as well.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK PRODUCERS! THE SHOW IS GREAT AS IT IS. WHY AM I USING ALL CAPS? IT’S ANNOYING.

I love your reviews Endymion, you are both hilarious and informative at the same time with a pinch of poignancy..

Thankfully I always make it a point to ignore “NEXT TIME ON !!!” so, I was happily flabbergasted by Chloe VS Face/Stomach-hugger.

Yes, Dr. Rush Skull FTW!

I don’t know why some others may have had a problem with the ending, personally I think its fresh and pure genius. (C’mon.. any other sci-fi series would’ve tried going ahead and showing the “last best timeline”) .. kudos SGU, KUDOS!

Ding dong Atlantis is dead, yey! Long live SGU!

I loved SG1 ans Atlantis, after 15 seasons of great scifi they come out with this bull, OC in Space with a few guns thrown in, I just hope that the characters that were dead by the end of the las episode, Time, will stay dead. It would make the show that much better if the teenage college drama love triangle crape was thrown out the airlock. I realy hope they turn this show around because it used to be the best SciFi series and I am sure I won’t be the only fan they lose.

I despise spoilers. So, if you’ve not watched this episode, ignore me.

The only surprise here for me was how they didn’t do the classic ‘fix everything with 4:59 left’. And yes, Dr. Rush with his own skull=awesome. Hope he took it back to the ship. Great decor. (how can it be macabre it it’s your _own_ skull from a different timeline/universe/singularity?)

They seem to be overplaying the “let’s contemplate our doomed fate’ episodes, though. Come on, this is a *series*, not a mini-series, so threatening to destroy the ship/kill off every major character every week will only work so long, although I’d say they have a few folks still on the list for future ‘actually, genuinely, won’t be here next week with an arm in a sling’ dead.

Even the two desert deserters could show up again, in fact I’d say they will, all mutated and/or empowered, and angry.

I KEEP HOPING, BUT “TIME” ISN’T EVEN DRAMATIC IN THE SENSE OF CLASSIC TIME PARADOX STORIES. FEELS LIKE THEY JUST FORGOT TO SHOOT THE LAST PAGES OF THE SCRIPT. AND THE CHARACTER OF ELI CHANGES FROM WEEK TO WEEK FROM ENDEARING TO ANNOYING. GET IT TOGETHER, GUYS. WE ALL WANT IT TO BE A HIT.

A weak version of Star Trek:TNG “Cause and Effect” Maybe if in previous episodes they had made me care more about these people, but I’m sorry they have a long way to go to make me a believer.. They did, however, earn another week of my watching.
