At last, we have the DVD cover art and specs for the second (and final?) Stargate made-for-DVD movie, “Continuum”. Amazon.com has the title listed as being available July 29, 2008, but you can pre-order your copy now. Ben Browder, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, and Claudia Black returns for a second go-around in a Stargate movie, this time they must stop Ba’al from changing history by traveling into the past. And if you saw the bootleg trailer that was posted a while ago, you also know that Richard Dean Anderson makes a guest appearance.

While SG-1 attends the execution of Ba’al, the last of the Goa’uld System Lords, Teal’c and Vala inexplicably disappear into thin air. Carter, Daniel and Mitchell race back to a world where history has been changed: the Stargate program has been erased from the timeline. The remaining SG-1 members must find the Stargate and set things right before they world is enslaved by the Goa’uld.

The DVD is presented in widescreen format in English, French and Spanish 5.1 Dolby Surround and English, French and Spanish subtitles.

Special Features:

* Audio Commentary with Executive Producer/Writer Brad Wright and Director Martin Wood
* The Layman’s Guide to Time Travel
* The Making of Stargate: Continuum
* Stargate Goes to the Arctic

I would have preferred audio commentary with the cast instead. You’d think they would have a lot to say, if this does turn out to be the final Stargate project they ever do.

Oh well. DVD cover art below:
