so, “Universe” is going to be some kind of “Big Brother” or “Amazing Race” ??? oh no no no, you guys can’t do this, the Stargate fans want Sci-Fi, not Reality Show. I’m not interested to see who gets the most popular girl and who’s the ugly duckling…
Besides, without the big bad alien guys ( the Wraith) there’s no fun at all.Me, my friends and my family love that character Todd and is hard to say “bye-Bye” to him :)).

My Comment
From reading the above release we can get an ideal were this series is going. “mostly youg and desperate explorers”, THRUST TOGETHER …. give me a break. Sounds more like a bad reality show were everyone has to live under the same roof and then lets see who hooks up with who and watch the sparks!

Give back my Stargate Atlantis and keep the Sex Space Opera.

perhaps the ninth symbol will relate to a reality drive, an idea already used in stargate atlantis episode deadalus variatants. just an idea so we have the normal 9 symbol dialing from atlantis plus the new symbol for reality. just a thought

i agree with tomkon i like atlantis more then any other sci-fi show. why would u get rid of the best show if they do think that it is going to be the best show out then why get rid of the show that is can compete with to see if it will be the best?

The creators must have very little confidence in the new series if they are canceling Atlantis for their new so called hip young show. If it is expected to be so good then it should be able to stand up right along side Atlantis. Sounds like the new shows creators are scared to put it up against an established show. The new show being based on a space ship seems to diminish the need or importance of the stargates! If they don’t know were they are how can they ever use the gate that are out there and why would they if they are traveling yo other planets already aboard the Ancient ship?? Besides that even if they did figure out how to gate somewhere they might not get back in time before the ships leaves. Also if they can use the gates why not just gate home! Lets not forget that earth now has ships that are as fast as anything the Ancients ever had, this according to one of the Atlantis series shows. Keep Atlantis and run the other new show along side it for the younger audiences if you want to.

Je suis un grand fan de la serie stargate sg1 & atlantis, je suis content de savoir qu’il y a un nouveau spin off (Stargate Universe). Je trouve domage qu’ atlantis soit fini aprés 5 ans, mais bon.

I hate to hear that Atlantis is ending as this has been my favorite of all the Stargates, but the new one sounds really cool. I loved all of the Star Trek’s, Voyager being my favorite and really wish they would come out with another series.

sounds CRAP to me, ivnever liked star trek and disliked the majority of the space based stargate episode, for the reason i find space travel programmes boring and now a very very very tired story and settings are all equally tired.

i like the stargate finding all these new technologies, fending the earth of of attacks, and dangerous encounters

i found atlantis not very good to start but i did eventually get into, it, because it was kinda a bit of both.

but this is worst stargate news iv ever heard
