Star Wars 3D Re-Release Super Bowl TV Spot

In case you missed it, here’s the Super Bowl TV spot for George Lucas’ “Star Wars” re-releases in 3D. It’s hard not to get excited when you hear the music start up and the sound of lightsabers humming. Those are such iconic sounds, especially if you’re a sci-fi movie geek. Of course, then you realize that you’ll have to see that Godawful “The Phantom Menace” first, and the enthusiasm sort of dims somewhat.
Can you just see the last 20 minutes of the film? I wonder if you can get a discount if that’s all you really want to see. Hell, I’ll settle for the Jedi-Darth Maul duel. The rest? Ugh. Even now, years later, still … UGH.
Star Wars menaces theaters again (in 3D) starting this Friday.
