According to this new Star Trek spot, J.J. Abrams’ version of Trek should not be mistaken for the one your father used to like when he was a nerd. Of course, if you’ve seen any of the gazillion or so Trek clips that have popped online so far (and posted on this site), you already know that Abrams’ Trek is probably as un-Trek as you can get and still have the name “Star Trek” in the marquee.
“Star Trek”, starring Chris Pine as young Kirk, Zachary Quinto as young Spock, and a smoking hot Zoe Saldana as young Uhura, opens May 8.

Hah! I stopped watching Trek after Voyager went off the air. I guess it looks nothing like TNG or Voyager is why it feels so “unTrek” to me.
