Star Trek Sequel Gets An Official Release Date

We all knew it was coming, the inevitable return of those hard trekking space-goers, Kirk, Spock, McCoy and the rest of those intrepid lens flare illuminated crewmembers. I was hoping for next year but I’m afraid we will all have to wait until 2012 in the early summer to see what happens after a crew, fresh out of driver training get to be in charge of The Enterprise, the flagship of Starfleet. I can see the Klingons rubbing their hands together and sharpening their Daqtagh now. Will we get Khan into the game as well? I’m hoping so. No J.J. Abrams officially on board yet.     The only reasons I loved Star Trek 11, it’s because it was a new beginning. A rough one at that with Vulcan being destroyed. So please keep it original and fresh. So forget about remakes and don’t listen to Endymion in the above article. We had our Khan in the 60′s and Khan in the 80′s, he’s dead now even in the real world. As much as I loved the actor and character let him rest in peace and move on. The last thing we want is an old script being rehashed into something new. If Hollywood wants a good movie all they need is a good script from a good writer. So again no rewrite please.

      I agree No Khan. But if they want to do a re-hash, why not episode “Balance of terror”? The possibilities are limitless.

    Im a big fan of star trek, just only up to the end of voyager. i tolerated enterprise, but have to say, did NOT like the last film. thought most of it wasnt star trek. if star trek is created by Gene Roddenberry, then the last film wasnt star trek because it goes completely against Roddenberry’s creation in TOS. so everything he created… never happened!!! personaly they can do what they want with the next film as for me it isnt star trek and it just means that everything people have been watching over the years never happened, oh except for Enterprise, which was the worst of the lot and got cancelled, but that crap series could still fit in with the lastest film (s).
