According to published reports, J.J. Abrams is not exactly a big fan of the Star Trek franchise. I think the director has even admitted that he doesn’t plan on making his Trek reboot movie conform to what we already know about the characters. Which may explain why the first 30 seconds or so of this bootleg trailer for Abrams’ Trek 11 doesn’t look anything like, well, Trek. Plus, later in the trailer, Spock puts the neck choke on Kirk, and I may be wrong, but Uhura flashes us her bra in a disrobing scene. Yup. This ain’t your father’s Trek, kids. Behold, the first full-length trailer for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek 11 in bootleg form.
Excited? Scared? Wanna run out and preorder your tickets now or run home and cry to momma that your childhood has been raped? You decide.
Note: Different video versions of the same trailer below, because I expect them to get pulled pretty fast, so maybe by posting more than one version, we’ll delay the inevitable. What can I say? I’m just naturally optimistic that way.

Awesome, scificool IS cool!
AWESOME! About time….as inundated we are with Star Trek spinoffs, they are all great. and this movie, I am highly anticipating. For those who can’t get enough, like me, it’s exciting. Someone is actually still paying attention. Trailer is very well put together – creates a sense that I don’t want to wait until it comes out on dvd to see. Have to see on the big screen.
