Spielberg’s Terra Nova Time Travel Series For Fox Opens Up The Info

Spielberg is putting together a time travel, dinosaur loving, Swiss Family Robinson styling series for Fox called Terra Nova. Details have been sparse. Well, we have been slightly enlightened.

EW has dug up a synopsis, bless their little hearts.

[Terra Nova] begins in 2149 A.D. The scene: a large group of settlers are preparing to leave the apocalyptic world they live in to time travel back millions of years via a massive, high-tech contraption. Their goal is to see trees, enjoy a blue sky, eat real food – basically, to start over in this so-called Eden. But what they find is unlike anything they were expecting.

I would guess that my expectations of that time would be of me running around screaming while parts of my body were busily being chewed off by indigenous species of the meat loving variety. Spielberg is showing off a demo intro for the show for potential advertisers soon. The show, as we’ve said before, is pretty much guaranteed to run since the normal pilot first, series if the pilot rules approach doesn’t work since the sets are too expensive to make. And hey, it’s Steve. Steve takes his Sci-Fi really seriously. No cast yet. We’ll keep you in the know. Thanks Slashfilm.
