Some Predators Inside Juice And Other Sci-Fi Tidbits

I’ve got some little widgets of news for your reading pleasure today. First of all, Alice Braga dishes some on the look of the mighty Predators in the Robert Rodriquez produced and Nimrod Antel directed reboot of same, due out this summer.

On her character and the snaggletoothed enemy:

[T]he predators, fans, they look really cool! I was really scared. The guys that play them, they’re really tall,” she explained adding a bit about her character. “She’s a girl from special forces. She’s a tough cookie. She’s a sniper. She jumps into the story and is trying to run for her life, which is classic “Predator” films.

We are looking forward to how Adrien Brody manages to get into character as a he-man merc type for his lead role in “Predators”. For my part, the dude has an academy award for best actor. If he bulks up a bit he’s going to be great. This whole thing reminds me of the trash talking that Daniel Craig endured before his big Bond unveiling. Brody has real chops. He’s going to impress and with some attitude I’m betting.

Braga on Mr. Brody and his buffness:

He was amazing. When we arrived in Hawaii where we first started shooting the film, it was really interesting that he was willing to really get stronger because his body is naturally thin. All of us, we bonded together as a team. We were working out together. He really changed his body, which is great because he challenged himself to do something he hasn’t been doing. I think he’s done it for some films, but never as an action hero. I think he did a great job. I think people are going to be really impressed with his work.

“Predators” is getting some screen action soon for a few lucky people so expect some insights soon on the quality of the man on Predator action. Thanks Bloody Disgusting

In other news.

From Playlist comes this quote from Christopher Nolan, writer and director of the upcoming mega event “Inception”

“Basically the film deals with levels of reality, and perceptions of reality which is something I’m very interested in. Its an action film set in a contemporary world, but with a slight science-fiction bent to it. Cobb [Leonardo DiCaprio's character], who is the center of things and expert in a particular technology that the film revolves around, has put this team around him [Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon Levitt]. It’s very much an ensemble film structured somewhat as a heist movie. It’s an action adventure that spans the globe.”

That pretty much confirms what we already know. I like the heist bit. Thanks Slashfilm
