Simon Pegg (Scotty) and Nick Frost, of Shawn of the Dead fame, give us a dandy behind the scenes video view of their new movie “Paul”. “Paul” is a buddy road movie where two nerds and/or geeks (you can be both but not at the same time) try desperately to return an alien named Paul to his spaceship after encountering him during a trip to a Sci-Fi convention. As our loyal readers may or may not know, my first date with my wife was at Shawn of the Dead, so Nick and Simon are kind of like family to me. Paul also stars a bevy of Hollywood’s greatest comedic talent. Joining Simon and Nick are Jason Bateman, Sigourney weaver, Bill Hader, Seth Rogen and a host of others. Paul is directed by Superbad’s Greg Mottola. Thanks Io9.

simon pegg I'm from Malaysia,I like to watch your movie..that so fantastic, advance…and so cool.Your character(firm, smart, brave)make the movie look fantastic.
Too bad Edgar wright isn’t directing. I love his visual style, the quick cuts and frantic close-ups. I wonder if Paul will have the same energy as Shaun and Fuzz, and is this actually the third installment of the “Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy”??? Or has Edgar abandoned that idear? Oh yeah, where’s Jessica Hynes? And are they really going to put together an American version of Spaced? I hope not. Yankee basterds…
@ Bryan: This is a separate project for Pegg and Frost, so it isn’t part of the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy. Wright will be directing that final installment which will be called “The World’s End”. And the idea of an American Spaced was ditched long ago.
You guys work great together, I love all your movies ’specially that one scene in Hot Fuzz where Simon kicks the old lady in the face.
Best wishes!
