Seth Green Smooths Out Some Details On His Upcoming Star Wars Comedy

We’ve been hearing about Seth Green’s (Robot Chicken) Star Wars comedy in bits and pieces. On the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards, Seth his own self provided a little more illumination.

It’s in the early production stages and will be animated, which is a good thing if you have watched the hilarious Robot Chicken Star Wars stuff. Here’s Seth with more from his quick interview.

“It’s just so early. When there’s good stuff to tell, I’ll tell you,” he said. “I don’t want to say anything. People are really dramatically misinterpreting it.” It’s encouraging to hear, but Green wouldn’t say much more. Josh asked him to set fans on the right path, but the “Robot Chicken” architect replied, “It’s too early to set you straight, that’s the worst part about it.”

Okay, there were a few facts that he would reveal. “It’s gonna be CG animation, it’s gonna be really funny and it’s gonna be ‘Star Wars’ in a way you’ve never seen it,” he said. “There are some recognizable characters but it’s a huge universe, so we’re really going where all the comedy is.”

While Green wouldn’t say where that is, he did offer a little hint as to when. “Timeline… I don’t think anybody is really talking about that yet. But it’s not post-['Return of the Jedi']
