Sci-Fi Trailer: The Time Traveler’s Wife

“The Time Traveler’s Wife” is actually less a sci-fi movie than a romantic drama with sci-fi elements. Or, actually, element. See, the hero kinda time-travels. He has no control over it, though, he just time travels whenever, and he doesn’t know where he’ll end up, or when. Then he falls in love with a girl he meets when she’s a little kid (which is kind of creepy, actually), but later, as adults they marry. Here’s the trailer for Robert Schwentke’s “The Time Traveler’s Wife”, starring Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams.

Based on the best-selling book about a love that transcends time. Clare has been in love with Henry her entire life. She believes they are destined to be together, even though she never knows when they will be separated: Henry is a time traveler–cursed with a rare genetic anomaly that causes him to live his life on a shifting timeline, skipping back and forth through his lifespan with no control. Despite the fact that Henry’s travels force them apart with no warning, Clare desperately tries to build a life with her one true love.

Starring Eric Bana, Rachel McAdams, Ron Livingston, Stephen Tobolowsky, Arliss Howard, Brooklynn Proulx, Alex Ferris, and Michelle Nolden. Robert Schwentke (”Flightplan”) directs.

Get lost in time August 14.
