Sci-Fi Writers Wanted

Hi there, sci-fi lovers. If you’re looking at this page, it must mean you’re interested in writing for us, and you love sci-fi. Either that, or you’re on the wrong page!

But just in case you are at the right page, here’s how you, too, can write for SciFiCool.com and become the object of adoration of millions and finally attain that cool status you’ve been dreaming about since middle school. Or at the very least, get to unleash some creativity.

We are currently seeking writers to fill these positions:

- Daily News Article Writers Cover the latest and greatest sci-fi/fantasy movie/TV news of the day. This job can be a grind, and takes a lot of time and persistence, so consider doing this only after careful thought and if you have the time to devote to it. 9 out of 10 applicants flame out after the first week. And no, that is not an overstatement.

- TV Episode Recappers Recap each episode of your favorite sci-fi/fantasy TV shows. Hey, you’re watching it every week anyway, why not recap it for the masses? How many shows you recap is completely up to you.

Privileges that come with writing for SciFiCool.com include talking non-stop about sci-fi movies, TV shows, and other sci-fi related topics. Revenue sharing (at first through Google Adsense) is also available, which means you can earn money for every post you make. Depending on how prolific you become, this could mean a few bucks a day to a few dozen bucks a day to a few cents a day. It’s entirely up to you. We are a growing site, and we expect to keep getting bigger, so your revenue potential has a very high upside.

Wordpress. It’s the publishing platform we use here at SciFicool.com. That means you need to have a working knowledge of Wordpress, or a similar publishing platform, to hit the ground running, which is preferable. Wordpress is relatively easy to learn if you are willing to learn. Find more about it over at Wordpress.org.

NOTE: You only really need to know Wordpress, and how to publish using it, if you plan on being one of our daily article writers. If your interest runs more in the occasional movie/book/etc review, or TV recapper, then learning Wordpress will be completely unnecessary for you.
