Sargasso Planet Leads Us To NBC’s Day One

Day One is a nifty little Sci-Fi show starting this fall that features a group of people fighting to survive in an apartment complex after the aliens come and clean house. Now, a clever little website has sprouted up, getting all Fanboy over a television series that doesn’t exist but points you toward the Day One site on NBC.

The site is called SargassoPlanet and is supposedly put together by one Zack Adamsky, who is a character on the Jesse Alexander produced show. I imagine references to what may be coming for those doomed and puny humans in the Liberty Park apartment complex (a picture on the site) abound at Sargasso Planet. There are also some action figure pictures that may shed some future light on the possible baddies. Sargasso is a reference to weeds by the way. A mass of floating vegetation. Floating through space, looking for a ripe and fertile place to conquer?? I am overwrought with the Sci-Fi possibilities. Check out the site for yourself and dig, dig, dig. Thanks Io9. See it all for yourself at  SargassoPlanet.com

In the aftermath of a global event that devastates the world’s infrastructures, a small band of survivors strives to rebuild society and unravel the mysteries of why the event took place and what the future has in store. Told from the point of view of an eclectic group of neighbors in a Van Nuys, California apartment building, this journey of survival will show us that hope is found in the smallest of victories and heroes are born every day.

From executive producer/writer Jesse Alexander (Heroes, Lost, Alias) and director Alex Graves (Fringe) comes this epic adventure that starts on Day One.
