Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Especially if you’re a big ol fan of Ron Moore’s “Battlestar Galactica” TV show, which I hear tell, a lot of you are, though apparently not so many that you turned in to his ill-fated “Caprica” TV show, natch.

Anyways, Moore’s got a swanky new show that’ll be popping up over at NBC very soon called “17th Precinct”, a show that will blend science-fiction and fantasy (re: magic) into one nice pile of coolness. Moore had previously cast his “BSG” alum Jamie Bamber as his male lead, and now he’s added two more “BSG” alums to the cast: James Callis and the sexiest enslaving robot of all time, Number Six, aka Tricia Helfer.

Set in the fictional town of Excelsior, where magic and supernatural elements rule over science, the drama project revolves around the cops at the local 17th Precinct. Helfer will play Morgana, a necromancer (the magical equivalent of a coroner) who is an expert at manipulating the potions, tools, herbs and spells of her trade.

About Callis’ and Bamber’s characters:

Callis’ character is a homicide detective, while Bamber is playing a crime scene expert.

At this rate, how long before Starbuck shows up? I suppose they could also include Boomer, but she may be a tad busy with that Hawaii show…
