The original was 50's & considered a real groundbreaker in it's day. The orginal "Thing" was played by our old friend James Arness of "Gunsmoke" fame. HA! But the original is not really the original. The Thing made in - oh black and white times. So its really a prequel to the remake of the original. A sequel would have been good, maybe after Kurt is rescued he isnt quite as unaffected as he looked. It was a good movie. But the original is not really the original.
