Wanna see what the “Predators” set looks like? Wonder no more. Someone snapped some pics from the set and uploaded them to the AvPGalaxy Forums. Presented and accounted for are some Predators (they don’t look especially “super” to me, but maybe they’re foot soldier types), a look at the Predator homeworld where the action will be taking place, star Adrian Brody in his Army fatigues, Walton Goggins, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, and Oleg Taktaro. More pics here.

Nimrod Antal directs the latest “Predator” installment, which finds the alien hunters taking some gung-ho humans to their homeworld for a little game of Hunt the Human. There goes intergalactic relations.

im sure this movie will be pretty shit. no doubt the action will be toned down so younger viewers will be able to go to cinemas to watch it.
they just dont seem to make action movies for grown ups anymore. the original predator was great, the sequel less so and AVP wasn’t too bad, i thought the story was quite original. as for AVPR how much did that suck? all the crap movie stereotypes were there, chick with a dick, awful teenage douchebags types, evil military schemers. it made the whole movie worse,i felt anyway.
I hope im wrong bout this new feature but i dont hold out much hope.

I may be in err James, and your pronouncement of “no imagination” might be dead on, but the film is about the ‘baddest of the bad’ from various parts of our globe, correct? Well then the Russian military has its Spetnaz-Alpha Group. The Uniform of this highly capable, very respected elite force is represented in “those striped russian navy shirts”. Thank you for your participation, and maybe next time a little research would go a long way to help with your ignorance.

anyone who says “epic fail” is retarded. im sorry but its true… wait no I am not sorry. saying “epic fail” instantly turns anything you say into garbage. you are no longer credible in any way or form. saying “epic fail” is one of the stupidest and most self-damaging things you could ever say. nobody will ever take you seriously if you say things like “epic fail”.
on another note, how is Adrien Brody a nerd? do you know him? do you see him in his off time? do you know what he does for fun? im guessing not so how can you characterize him as anything other than an actor? hes had a huge variety of acting roles, yes most of them dramatic but it may be a little skilled acting thats needed to revitalize the franchise. The last two movies were complete write-offs because their actors were useless and completely expendable. Arnold and Danny Glover were the best actors in the Predator movie series and coincidentely those two movies were the best in the series as a result. casting a competent actor was most likely the smartest move they could make. maybe bring some seriousness and integrity to the movie? Im sure there will be plenty of tough ass guys with big muscles for you to ogle and get a boner for.

i doubt its gona be as good as the first 2. even with Robert R behind the movie, i doubt it’ll really feel like a predator movie. actually everything after the first 2 seem like they were shot for the SciFi channel. Atleast the comics are coming back.

the predators in the pics are for stage purposes. once they put them in the film they will look better. the orginial predator was taller because the guy wearing the suit was over 7 feet tall.this movie sounds great

Everyone complaining about Adrien reminds me of how everyone bitched about Michael Keaton in “Batman”, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, and Tom Cruise as Lestat. And those were epic fails, weren’t they everyone?

First and foremost the script….I hate it. Predators have NEVER captured humans and taking them to another planet to be hunted. There is NOTHING and i mean NOTHING in either of the two movies that even alludes to them doing so. I don’t wanna hear people saying “well it/or something similar happened in the comics/games.” Well you know what? To me comics and games ARE NOT cannon and therefore I really don’t care. To me it seems like they were desperate for a reboot and totally messed it up. I could of come up with a better scenario in my sleep. I hope they scrap it and start over fresh. Fans have been waiting for 20 bloody years and this is the only thing they could come up with. I’m ok with the cast. I just hate the plot.

When it comes out I’m getting a pirate copy to see if it’s even worth my $10 before seeing it in the theater. Tis a sad day Fox….a sad day indeed. You let a lot of people down.

any one think that Adrian brody looks kinda like Pancho from the first predator in the 4th pic? I kinda think so.

I been hearing alot for this film and am glad that someone finally got a visual of what the predators wil look like. Though their height and bulk physique remind me of the predators from the first AvP film, I’m more curious to see how their facial features will be handled as well as their cloaking and thermal vision. Plus if this ignores predator 2 and teh AvP franchise, will that mean the weapons from those films may not appear?

Judging from the talk many are expecting this to already be a flop due to some signs: relative unknown director, unorthadox( to some) casting and many others. Yes the AvP franchise may have tarnished this film series reputation some, and I know there are those who hope this will remind the world what the predator is. personaly I like Predator 2 and the AvP franchise for they were nice rides that didn’t have a lot of substance and were in serious need of better lighting rigs but I liked them all the same. judging by these pics we can safely asume that it wont have the darkness of the AvP films and we’ll be able ot see them. My number one personal concern is that they bring back the original Predator roar whic was sorely lackingin AvP-R despite being featured in the trailers and Tv Spots, but thats just my small gripe.

I look forward to this relaes this summer and hope its at least an enjoyable ride.

It’s kinda smart they didn’t cast a bunch of muscle-heads that can’t act like John Cena or Triple H. These actors may be geeks, but it makes it more interesting. Hope they do this movie justice and don’t f*ck up like they did on Requiem.

Trailer looks decent, and any movie from Robert Rodriguez I’d be willing to give half a chance…a proven director/producer. If he taught Nimrod (snicker), how to direct I’d still watch it. Original Predator was obviously the best, Danny Glover’s Predator movies was ok…actually looked like he fumbled his way to a win against an even clumsier Predator. LOL! The Predator vs Aliens was ok, but sucked when Lance Henriksen got killed off, and I’m not comfortable with the human female lead bumbling her way to a win either. The last AVPR in Colorado, TOTALLY SUCKED! NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER, DO A SCI-FI MOVIE WITH TEEN ACTORS!!!! This one looks very interesting, giving us a glimpse of the Predator home world (?). I would prefer the movie have one lead actor only, as this would make the audience feel like they were experiencing the homeworld through the actor’s eyes. If you bring all the actor’s in at once (like lost), then it sprals out of control, and the movie then is about who has the biggest balls to lead this group. If you bring in Brody, alone, then have him meet the other humans, as he’s wandering the the jungle, that would be an even better premiss to the movie, and bring more of a mystery.

A few more comments… I wonder if it was intentional naming the movie “Predators”, like “Aliens” was the sequel to “Alien” from the 70s.

Not sure if Adrian Brody can carry this movie, if this movie is supposedly about the best human mercs in the planet. He just has this stupid wonderment face, like deer in the headlights.

I would prefer this movie have a surprise anti-hero like Bruce Willis was to the movie “Diehard”. I mean did anyone ever see that coming from a funny “Moonlighting” tv show…brilliant!

Someone said Daniel Craig, and how awsome would that have been, having him play Dutch’s older brother in the dark horse comics sequel of Predator….Daniel Craig rocks! He should have played the hero in this movie, as a veteran SPETNAZ soldier. Dude is a natural.

Adrian Brody playing some merc badass.
Alice Braga playing some Sniper chick who doesn’t know you have to lay down to snipe…I don’t know any sniper who can snipe from holding a .50 cal upright!
Oleg Taktarov playing some heavy weight Russian, who will definitely get killed off first. I can see it coming.
Luis Changchien playing a Yakuza assasin. He will stay alive throughout most of the movie, only to die in an honor battle against a Predator.
Lawrence Fishbourne playing the dark horse character, who will exit the movie early, only to have miracously lived and escape towards the end.
Walter Goggins who looks like he’s a child molester still in prison orange. Would be funny if he made it out of the movie, out of sheer luck, and his ability to hide from years of running from the law.
Maher…Ali, (long name), playing some sort of Haitian or African warrior. Lol Obviously he will be the guy who most identifies with the Predator species having himself been a hunter.
Danny Trejo playing some ugly cholo dude. LOL, sorry Danny but you obviously die early.
And Last the kid, Topher Grace the scared rabbit that just runs away.

I think we can pretty much decipher how this movie will play itself out. I feel like that screenplay dude from the movie “Lady in the water”….should be a fun movie regardless.

One thing that gives me hope about the new movie is Lawerence Fishbourne… He’s a good actor… If they design this movie to be what every one wants to see, Alot of predator sceens, alot of action, and a ending thats not typical… this movie can be one of my favorites!!!!

It doesn’t take muscle to fight a predator it takes wit, so you can pretty much cast any actor (provided they can act) as the hero. So to say adrien brody is a poor choice is stupid. I have to say though the predators in the photo don’t look tall enough, Rodriguez looks taller!

Why doesn't everyone complaining about this movie just shut the fuck up. Seriously, if you think its going to be so bad keep it to yourself. You can't judge a movie based on previous releases. This movie takes on an entirely new concept, it has a new director, a new cast and all together, is an entirely new movie. I'm not saying it will be good either, since I haven't seen it.. Because it hasn't been released yet. I am just not giving a biased opinion, but personally I think it will be better then the AvP releases but not as good as the orinal Predators. So fuck you.

I guess I shouldn’t jump ship, but seeing the pictures, and reading some possible spoilers and excerpts of what this maybe about tightens my seatbelt on a trip of a possible disaster… I hope I am wrong, but in time we’ll see…

I am a HUGE fan of The Predator films, and enjoyed the Original and sequel more than MANY!!! I do not object to Adrian Brody… At first I was one of those fans saying “wtf?”, but then I thought he’s a good actor, and he was great in “The Jacket”, and “King Kong” plays any character with integrity, and focus!

I like the idea of Predators hunting humans and heard much like any that “Dutch” may make an appearance… Whether or not this will happen will be left for the big screen. An article had said if he would appear it was because he was captured, and hiding out within the home world planet of these predators… oh well! Unless… it’s a lie just for folks to see this film!

I guess I should give this film some credit… For one they could’ve scraped the whole idea and never made a Predator sequel, prequel, or relaunch of this franchise… I hope the special effects are good in this film and the predators look more like Stan Winston’s did in the first two original movies… His Predators were the absolute best in Predator & Predator 2.

C’mon everyone, they haven’t even finished the movie yet! At least wait for the trailer to start bitching and moaning-and lay off Adrien Brody! He won an Oscar and 5 major awards, a was nominated for a Golden Globe and a BAFTA awared–he knows what he’s doing, just let the man work!

From what I’ve read, everyone involved wants to make a film that will regenrate the franchise. So unless the Predators frequently break out into “Glee”-like musical numbers, I’m cautiously optimistic that this’ll be a good flick.
