If you plan on running around my old stomping ground of Austin, Texas around March 12 or thereabouts, you’re in luck, because South by Southwest has just announced that Austin-based filmmaker Robert Rodriguez will be offering the festival goers a “first look” at his latest, the sequel “Predators”, which he produces and Nimrod Antal directed. This is obviously not the whole movie, just the first-ever footages from the film.
The special presentation of Predators will take place at the Alamo Ritz Theater in downtown Austin, at 10:15pm. Doors open at 9:45pm, and the special event is only open to SXSW Badge-holders on a first-come, first-served basis. An audience Q&A follows the unveiling.
“Predators”, scheduled for release later this Summer, stars Adrien Brody as Royce, a mercenary who, along with other human warriors, find themselves abducted and used as prey on the Predator homeworld. The film co-stars Topher Grace, Alice Braga, and Laurence Fishburne.
